Chitra Thadathil is the Founding Director and Clinical Head of Dimensions Centre for Child Development, with branches in Bangalore and Coimbatore, and the Founder & CEO of Autism Synergies.
With over two decades of experience (22+ Years) as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Chitra has trained and led multidisciplinary teams of therapists, developed evidence-based intervention programs, and mentored professionals and parents across India and abroad.

Chitra holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Sensory Integration from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, and Master’s in Speech and Hearing from Bangalore University. She has also received advanced certification in PROMPT, SOS Approach to Feeding, DIR Floortime, DTTC for CAS, OPT, and Beckman Oral Motor Therapy from leading international institutions.
She has presented her research internationally, including at Feeding Matters USA, and authored several manuals and workbooks, such as the Comprehensive Sensory Motor Intervention Guide for Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing.
A recipient of multiple awards — including the Speech-Language Pathologist of the Year (2023) and Digital Women Award for Social Impact (2022) — Chitra is also the President-Elect of the Indian Speech and Hearing Association, Bengaluru Chapter (ISHA-BC).
Her vision is to ensure that every child receives therapy rooted in research, compassion, and neuro-affirming principles, while empowering the next generation of professionals to bridge science with practice.

Where Progress Meets Compassion: Our Journey with Dimensions Centre
My son has speech and other developmental delays. He was assessed when about 2.5 years old. we took him to various centres in Bengaluru but were not satisfied. With no improvement after a year of therapy, we took him to Dimension centre at Kalyan Nagar when he was 3.5 years old for speech and occupational Therapy. He continued at the centre for about 1.5 years, before we had to leave Bengaluru. Although his speech is yet to come, we saw immense improvement in our kid's understanding and instruction following. Best thing about Dimensions is their process, where they clearly document each day's engagement and discuss monthly progress. It is one of the very few centres with live CCTV access. Therapist here do not force the kids rather encourage them with love and affection. As all the therapists at the centre are the best in the work they do, there are some instances where they leave for better opportunities, which is the only con I observed at the centre, but this is true for any other centre as well.

From No Words to First Words — A Journey of Hope and Progress
We have been coming to Dimensions for some time now and I can see major improvements in my child from the time we started here. From no meaningful words to a few words, weak motor skills to colouring, all of this in 6 months while keeping it very child centric. We have been to many therapy centres in the past, but haven't experienced this level of planning, clarity or even innovative ideas anywhere else. As a parent you can watch, learn, track and contribute to the growth of your child as they share daily updates, take time to explain you very well while keeping it very human by being empathetic towards the child as well as the parents. We have had great experience with Ms Ida and Ms Najiha as SLP in getting those first words out. Sinduja mam has been instrumental in getting my child ready for school and ADL skills. Have rarely seen Directors taking feedback from sessions by being in the therapy class but Chithra mam really walks the talk! The new centre in Kothanur is very peaceful and the expansion has really helped parents in terms of tackling distance and time. Overall a great experience and I wish all the very best to the Dimensions team.

From No Words to First Words — A Journey of Hope and Progress
We have been coming to Dimensions for some time now and I can see major improvements in my child from the time we started here. From no meaningful words to a few words, weak motor skills to colouring, all of this in 6 months while keeping it very child centric. We have been to many therapy centres in the past, but haven't experienced this level of planning, clarity or even innovative ideas anywhere else. As a parent you can watch, learn, track and contribute to the growth of your child as they share daily updates, take time to explain you very well while keeping it very human by being empathetic towards the child as well as the parents. We have had great experience with Ms Ida and Ms Najiha as SLP in getting those first words out. Sinduja mam has been instrumental in getting my child ready for school and ADL skills. Have rarely seen Directors taking feedback from sessions by being in the therapy class but Chithra mam really walks the talk! The new centre in Kothanur is very peaceful and the expansion has really helped parents in terms of tackling distance and time. Overall a great experience and I wish all the very best to the Dimensions team.

Where Progress Meets Compassion: Our Journey with Dimensions Centre
My son has speech and other developmental delays. He was assessed when about 2.5 years old. we took him to various centres in Bengaluru but were not satisfied. With no improvement after a year of therapy, we took him to Dimension centre at Kalyan Nagar when he was 3.5 years old for speech and occupational Therapy. He continued at the centre for about 1.5 years, before we had to leave Bengaluru. Although his speech is yet to come, we saw immense improvement in our kid's understanding and instruction following. Best thing about Dimensions is their process, where they clearly document each day's engagement and discuss monthly progress. It is one of the very few centres with live CCTV access. Therapist here do not force the kids rather encourage them with love and affection. As all the therapists at the centre are the best in the work they do, there are some instances where they leave for better opportunities, which is the only con I observed at the centre, but this is true for any other centre as well.
